Five of My New Year's Resolutions
2014 is almost upon us! It's time to make New Year's Resolutions!
Speaking for myself, 2013 was a pretty good year. I'll write another post about my highlights, but for now I'm in a resolution-writing mood. Here are some of my New Year's Resolutions/ Goals for 2014:
Copy the New Testament by hand
I know, this is a pretty ambitious one. Most people haven't even read the New Testament in its entirety. But I figured since I had the time and motivation to read through it a couple of times in 2013, I can hand write the NT next year.
Become hired as a full time youth minister
This is a big one for me. I've been wanting to be a full time youth minister since I was 15. It's been almost three years since I graduated high school and I still have not been hired by a church. But I'm praying this will be the year God grants my desire.
Finish third year of college (30 credit hrs)
Working at summer camp for the past two years while in school has pushed me back almost a full year. I'd like to complete my degree in the normal four years, but it's going to take a lot of work.
Learn Spanish
Although I enjoyed learning French in high school and forgetting all of it (except "J'mappelle Tom", or something like that), more people speak Spanish in America. I'd like to strike a conversation with half of the people in my town who don't speak English.
Run a 5k
It's been, oh, I don't know, five years? I need more t-shirts.
What are some of your resolutions?
